Surfom od Knina do Mljeta
Autor : Mario Saletto HRT
At the first sight it seems impossible that there may be any connection between Knin and Adriatic and normal "sea" surfing. But we decided to make it possible and spur the interest for experiencing these regions in an unorthodox way, so we turned to an event that would be the first of this sort in the short history of the Croatian adventure tourism.
Three experienced windsurfers that have sailed up and down Adriatic many times have accepted the greatest challenge so far: to tackle the 73 km long river Krka, its shoals, waterfalls and canyons on a sailboard. Pushing sailboards through thick underwater plants, gliding in dead calms and normally surfing at some parts, they have started off at the very head of Krka.
After passing the Roški waterall, the Visovac lake with a Franciscan monastery, Skradinski buk and the Šibenik channel, they set sail on the Adriatic and arrived at the island of Brač and the famous Blaca desert, another monastery on this unusual windsurfing trip.
